About Me

Welcome

Leading with Purpose

Hi! I’m Amroz, a 12th grader who believes in building structures — and societies — that are strong, sustainable, and unique. With a foundation in STEM and economics, I approach challenges with discipline, curiosity, and passion. Whether it’s creating intricate models for school projects, finding freedom underwater while swimming, or expressing emotions through the piano, I’m driven by the idea that precision and creativity go hand in hand. Welcome to a glimpse into the journey that has shaped both my work and who I am.

Academically, I thrive in challenging environments. With a 96% score in my Class X AISSE exams and a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Economics, I’ve built a strong foundation for tackling complex problems. My curiosity has led me beyond the classroom:

I qualified for both levels of the 2024 Climate Science Olympiad, demonstrating my commitment to advancing environmental solutions. Additionally, I authored an essay on strategies to mitigate climate change, which received a high score from the judges.

I participated in the Ramanujan National Mathematics Competition. Online courses have further fueled my growth—whether it’s coding a Tic-Tac-Toe game in C++ (2024), designing sustainable business strategies through Duke University’s Renewable Energy and Green Building Entrepreneurship course (2023), or developing an unbiased AI language model in Python during Inspirit AI’s Scholars Program (2024). These experiences have taught me to think critically and act creatively.

Sports are a cornerstone of my life, teaching me resilience and teamwork. Since 2019, I’ve competed in basketball, earning second-place rankings in zonal competitions (2022 and 2024) while mentoring younger players and strategizing for success. In swimming, a passion since 2014, I’ve won silver and bronze medals at the Punjab School Games (2024) and a bronze in the Sahodya Competition (2023), all while organizing practices and coaching juniors on technique. Beyond the pool and court, I’ve explored skeet shooting and honed discipline through a three-week horse riding workshop in 2024.

Music is my creative outlet. I’ve secured first place in multiple intra-school piano competitions since 2022, outperforming 20+ peers with my skill and stage presence. Currently, I’m preparing for the prestigious Trinity Competition—a milestone in my musical journey that reflects my commitment to excellence.

Leadership comes naturally to me. At the 2024 Harvard Youth Leadership Conference, I crafted and pitched a proposal to address educational disparities in Mumbai’s slums, merging entrepreneurship with social good. Closer to home, I’ve led drills in basketball, mentored swimmers, and competed in Mathoplis quizzes to sharpen my analytical edge. I have a keen interest in philosophy and am an avid reader of literary works by authors such as Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Franz Kafka.

Fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, I bring a multicultural lens to everything I do. My goal is to study in the U.S., where I can dive into cutting-edge research, sustainable innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Whether I’m coding solutions, sinking baskets, or striking piano keys, I’m driven by a belief that passion and purpose can shape a better future—for myself and the world around me.
